NDIS & Aged Care Support in Australia

FAQ

Getting started begins with a friendly conversation.
We’ll take the time to understand your needs, goals, preferences and the type of support you’re looking for.
From there, we can discuss suitable services, support worker matching, availability and your funding arrangements.
Where appropriate, we’ll explain the next steps, including any service agreement and arrangements for commencing support.
We want you to feel comfortable, informed and confident before your support begins.
Contact Amigos Community Care today — we’d love to get to know you.

Absolutely. Helping people build confidence, develop skills and work towards meaningful goals is central to our approach.
Whether your goals involve learning to cook, using public transport, managing household tasks, making friends or participating more confidently in the community, we can work alongside you to develop practical skills.
We recognise that everyone’s progress looks different, and we focus on supporting you at a pace that feels right for you.
Our aim is to encourage greater choice, confidence and independence in everyday life.

People with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding can generally choose from registered and unregistered providers for eligible supports.
If your funding is NDIA-managed, the NDIS requires you to use registered providers.
Whether Amigos can provide your particular support will depend on our registration status, your funding arrangements, the type of service required and availability.
Contact our team to discuss your plan management arrangements and the services you’re looking for.

At Amigos Community Care, we carefully consider your interests, personality, preferences and individual support needs when matching you with a support worker.
We also understand how important consistency can be, which is why we aim to provide familiar support workers wherever possible.
Your comfort, feedback and preferences are important to us, and we encourage open communication about what works best for you.

It replaced the former Home Care Packages program in November 2025.
The services available depend on your assessment, approved support plan and funding arrangements.
Whether Amigos can deliver services using your government funding will depend on the applicable provider arrangements and service availability.
